The Revenge Black Hoodie is the quietest thing we make and probably the most worn. No loud color doing the work, just the fit and the fabric and whatever graphic is on the chest. That’s enough.

What It Is

Heavyweight French terry cotton. Soft inside, structured outside. Doesn’t collapse after a few washes the way cheap hoodies do.

Black stays black if you treat it right. More on that below, because people mess this up constantly.

Relaxed fit. Not oversized, not slim. Ribbed cuffs and hem, so the sleeves don’t stretch out and the bottom doesn’t ride up. Runs true to size. If you’re broad in the shoulders, size up. Size guide on the product page is accurate.

Background

Most people find Revenge through music. XXXTentacion wore the brand early, before the name meant anything. The xxxtentacion Hoodie Revenge Lightning Black and Kill Hoodie Revenge pieces from that era are still the ones people chase on resale. Black hoodies were part of that run, and they still move faster than any other color we do.

One thing we have to say because it comes up constantly: we are not a Tokyo Revengers Hoodie brand. That’s an anime. The name overlap confuses people in search results all the time. We’re a streetwear label from Los Angeles. Hip-hop roots.

Wearing It

Black is easy. That’s the whole point.

Goes with everything. Jeans, joggers, cargo pants, shorts if it’s mild out. White sneakers, black sneakers, boots, doesn’t matter. You can wear this five days a week and nobody notices it’s the same hoodie.

Layering is where black earns its keep. Denim jacket over it, works. Flannel underneath, works. Over a t shirt, works. Under a coat when it’s cold, works. There’s no wrong answer here, which is why people end up buying two.

Only thing to watch: all-black fits can look flat if everything is the same shade and texture. Mix it up a little. Different fabric weights, a lighter shoe, something. Small thing, but it makes a difference.

Care

This is where black hoodies go wrong. Not just ours, any black hoodie.

Inside out. Cold water. Gentle cycle. Hot water fades black faster than any other color because the dye sits differently. Cold water, every time.

No bleach. No fabric softener. Softener coats the fibers and leaves the fabric feeling slick and strange over time.

Air dry. Hang it or lay it flat somewhere with airflow. If you have to use a dryer, low heat only, and take it out while it’s still a little damp. High heat cracks prints and shrinks the body.

Here’s the part people get wrong with black: too much washing makes it dull and grey. Wash it when it’s actually dirty, not after every wear. Three or four wears between washes is fine. If it smells fine and looks fine, leave it alone.

If it does start looking faded, cold wash with a bit of vinegar in the cycle helps bring some depth back. Old trick, it works.

Fold it for storage. Don’t hang heavy hoodies for months, the shoulders stretch out. Keep it out of direct sun if it’s going in a closet for a season.

Questions

Does black fade to grey?
It can, with hot water and too much washing. Cold water and fewer washes keeps it dark for years.

Same as the Kill Hoodie?
No. Kill Hoodie Revenge pieces have their own graphics tied to the XXXTentacion era. The black hoodie is a standalone colorway.

Between sizes?
Size up for room. The cut is relaxed but it won’t stretch on its own.

Can I wear it year-round?
Depends where you live. It’s heavyweight, so it’s warm. Fine for mild weather, better for fall and winter.
