Short version. We’re Revenge. Los Angeles. Started in 2016. Black hoodie is the one most people buy first, mostly because they don’t have to think about it.

The Hoodie Itself

Heavyweight French terry cotton. Soft inside. Outside has some body to it, so it doesn’t hang off you like a wet towel after two wears.

Black is deep. Not that grey-ish black you get from cheap blanks.

Relaxed cut. Not oversized, not slim. Ribbed cuffs and hem so the sleeves hold and the bottom stays where it should. True to size. Broad shoulders, size up. Size guide on the product page is accurate, so look at it before ordering instead of guessing.

Who We Are

Started in LA in 2016.

Early on, XXXTentacion wore the brand before most people knew the name. Pieces from that stretch — the xxxtentacion Hoodie Revenge Lightning Black, the Kill Hoodie Revenge drops — are still what people chase on resale sites years later. That era built the following. The black hoodie came out of it.

Two things get asked constantly, so I’ll just say them.

We are not a Tokyo Revengers Hoodie brand. That’s an anime. Name overlap, nothing more. Different world.

And Revenge clothing isn’t one hoodie. We make tees and other pieces too. If you want something lighter, there’s a Revenge T Shirt in similar colorways. Fine on its own when it’s warm, layers under the hoodie when it isn’t.

Wearing It

Black goes with everything. That’s the whole reason this one sells the most.

Jeans, joggers, cargos, shorts if it’s mild. White sneakers, black sneakers, boots. Wear it five days straight, nobody clocks it. That’s not a knock on the hoodie, it’s the point.

Layering works with basically anything. Denim jacket over the top. Flannel under it. Over a tee. Under a coat when it’s cold. No wrong move.

One thing though. All-black fits can look flat when every piece is the same shade and weight. Break it up. Different textures, a lighter shoe, a bag. Small thing, but you notice it when it’s missing.

Care

Black hoodies go wrong in the wash. Not just ours, all of them.

Inside out. Cold water. Gentle cycle. Hot water fades black faster than any other color, that’s just how the dye sits in cotton. Cold every time.

No bleach. No fabric softener. Softener leaves a coating that makes the fabric feel slick and odd after a while.

Air dry if you can. Hang it or lay it flat with some airflow. Dryer on low heat only if you have no choice, and take it out while it’s still a bit damp. High heat cracks prints and shrinks the body.

Here’s the part people get wrong. Washing black too often turns it dull and grey. Wash it when it’s actually dirty, not after every wear. Three or four wears between washes is fine. Looks fine, smells fine? Leave it alone.

If it does go dull, cold wash with a splash of white vinegar in the cycle brings some depth back. Old trick. Works.

Fold it for storage. Don’t hang heavy hoodies for months, shoulders stretch out. Keep it out of direct sun if it’s going in a closet for a season.

Is Revenge clothing the same as Tokyo Revengers?
No. Tokyo Revengers is an anime. Revenge is a streetwear brand from Los Angeles.

Does the black fade to grey?
It can, with hot water and overwashing. Cold water and fewer washes keeps it dark for years.

Is this the same as the Kill Hoodie?
No. Kill Hoodie Revenge pieces have their own graphics tied to the XXXTentacion era. The black hoodie is a standalone colorway.

Between sizes?
Size up for room. The cut is relaxed but it won’t stretch on its own.

Year-round?
Depends where you live. It’s heavyweight, so it runs warm. Better for fall and winter than July.
