Revenge Embroidered Zip Heather Grey

The heather grey zip doesn’t get posted about much. It gets worn. There’s a difference, and if you’ve owned one you already get it.

What’s Actually On It

Heather grey French terry cotton. Heavyweight, so it has some weight in the hand. The inside is brushed soft, the outside has enough body that it doesn’t droop off your shoulders after an hour.

Here’s a thing people don’t know about heather grey: it’s not one color. It’s a blend of light and dark fibres spun together, which is why it looks textured up close. That’s also why it hides lint, crumbs, and light marks better than solid grey or black. Small detail. Matters if you wear it a lot.

Full metal zip. Not plastic. YKK-style teeth that don’t skip or jam halfway. The zipper pull is small and sits flat, so it doesn’t clank around.

The embroidery is stitched, not printed. That’s the whole reason this piece exists. Print cracks and peels after a year. Stitching doesn’t. It just sits there.

Fit is relaxed, same block as the rest of our Revenge Hoodies. Ribbed cuffs and hem. True to size, size up if you’re broad in the shoulders. Zip-ups sit differently than pullovers, so if you’re between sizes, go up rather than down.

Why Zip-Ups Wear Differently

A pullover is one look. A zip-up is three.

Open, it’s a light layer over a tee. Half-zipped, it’s a mid-layer. Fully zipped, it’s a standalone piece. That flexibility is why this one ends up in rotation more than the pullovers do, even if the pullovers get more attention online.

It also means it works as a mid-layer under a jacket when it’s cold, which a pullover can’t really do without feeling bulky. Worth knowing if you live somewhere with actual seasons.

Most people find us through music. XXXTentacion wore Revenge early, before the brand meant anything to anyone. The pieces from that stretch are still the ones people hunt on resale — the xxxtentacion Hoodie Revenge Lightning Black, the Kill Hoodie Revenge drops, the Revenge Xxxtentacion Contrast Zip Up Hoodie Black. That last one is a zip-up too, but a different design with contrast detailing. The Embroidered Zip Heather Grey came from the same era of design thinking, just quieter.

We are not a Tokyo Revengers Hoodie brand. That’s an anime. Name overlap, nothing more.

How To Wear It

Heather grey is the most forgiving neutral there is. It doesn’t create the hard contrast black does against lighter pants, so it’s easier to build around.

Open over a white tee with dark denim is the default. Closed with black joggers is the other one. Over a button-up sounds weird but works, especially with the embroidery acting as the detail.

Olive cargos, grey sweats, navy chinos — all fine. White sneakers, black sneakers, boots — no wrong answer.

One honest warning. Heather grey shows sweat and deodorant marks more than solid grey or black. Don’t wear it to the gym and then straight somewhere else. That’s not a flaw in the hoodie, it’s how the colour behaves.

Washing And Drying

Zip-ups need different handling than pullovers. The zipper is the weak point and most people ignore it.

Zip it fully closed before washing. Open zippers snag on other clothes and the teeth can warp in the drum. Turn it inside out too, so the embroidery doesn’t rub against anything.

Cold water. Gentle cycle. Hot water fades heather grey and shrinks cotton, and once heather grey fades it looks tired rather than vintage.

No bleach. No fabric softener. Softener coats the fibres and the fabric ends up feeling slick and slightly waxy. Skip it.

Air dry. Hang it or lay it flat somewhere with airflow. If you have to use a dryer, low heat only, and pull it out while it’s still slightly damp. High heat cracks embroidery thread and shrinks the body.

Don’t hang it by the hood for storage. Fold it. Heavy knits stretch at the shoulders when they hang for months.

Wash frequency: three or four wears between washes is fine unless it’s actually dirty. Overwashing ages knitwear faster than anything else. Looks fine, smells fine, leave it.

Is Revenge the same as Tokyo Revengers?
No. Tokyo Revengers is an anime. Revenge is a streetwear brand from Los Angeles. Same with Revenge Of The Sith, that’s Star Wars.

Will the embroidery crack or peel?
No. It’s stitched, not printed. Heat will damage the thread over time, so cold wash and air dry and it’ll outlast the hoodie itself.

Does heather grey fade?
Less noticeably than solid grey or black, because the colour is already a blend. Hot water will still dull it, so stick to cold.

What if I’m between sizes?
Size up. Zip-ups sit differently than pullovers and you want room to layer underneath.
